Adam Sweet

Owner, Teacher

I have a BA in music and certificates in violin, performance, and coaching from the New England Conservatory of Music, the Conservatory at Rivers, the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music, and Hampshire College, with courts work in jazz from UMass Amherst, ethnomusicology from Amherst College, performance from Smith College, and music theory from Mount Holyoke College. I graduated in 1985 and opened my studio in 1986 to provide mandolin and fiddle lessons.

I teach all ages, specializing in working with adults.

I teach all musical styles, specializing in Celtic, Bluegrass, and Klezmer.

I teach Monday through Friday 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. group classes are available as well, starting with the mandolin group class on Wednesday nights at 7:00, and the Celtic music group class on Tuesday nights at 7:00.
